Digital Scrapbooking...

I love the art of scrapbooking both tradional and digital. Lately I have been playing with PSE (photoshop elements) and love it.
I created this great "Postcard" look for a page that I will put in my traditional scrapbook. It prints 4x6 so its perfect. I used a stock photo for the background photo of the vegas luxor, I used a photo I had taken from the bellagio water show, and of course my friends and I for the actual photo of us.

The whole template I got from they have several different templates to choose from. You do need to know PSE before purchasing, I had some problems but now I know how to use these.

Paper Wreath

So here is my Paper Craft!

I did not come up with this idea by myself. I have cased it from:

I used 30 sheets of 12x12 paper (Stampin Up retired paper used for this project)
Cut the paper in to 6x1" strips of paper.
I used a bone folder to make the ends curly on both ends of the the paper.
Then I attached it to a styrofoam ring with pins that is it!
I will be making a few of these for the holidays for my window.
Enjoy and have fun!

First Blog Contest! SCRAP THAT CRAP!!!

Do you think you have a great organizational skill?
Do you have a great organizational technique to share?
Do you want a chance to win a FREE SCRAPBOOKING WEEKEND (hotel not included)?

Then this is the contest for you!
Meryle and Susie have the WORST scrap rooms ever!
Over the next 4 weeks, we will ask you to email us at photos of your Scrap Room and or Organizational Techniques. Please include a description of the photo/technique your name and email address.
We will post them on the blog as we receive them. You the blog readers, need to comment (to help us choose) the 2 contestants (winners) of this contest. The 2 contestants will be chosen on December 5th.

Now comes the fun stuff. The 2 contestants that get chosen, will SCRAP THAT CRAP!
1 contestant will go to Meryle’s home, and 1 will go to Susie’s home (the week of Christmas break)
You get a budget of $50 to spend and you get to use anything in the current room/space.

Also as a side note, both Meryle and Susie go to many crops and need to have a good way to take items with them also. Susie’s current room is a mess because when she goes to crops she just throws things in a bag, and then the bag ends up on the floor of her room (videos of the rooms will be posted soon).

On January 2nd we will post the transformation video’s of the rooms. Again we will ask the bloggers to comment away. A winner will be chosen on January 31st.

Now what do you win?? The WINNER of the best room will win a FREE WEEKEND CROP (to be used in April) hotel not included.
2nd Place is not a loser! They will win a $50 shopping spree at our CroppersdelightNYC traveling scrapbooking store.

So start sending those photos/ideas in to us today!

Product Spot Light! ClearSnap Design Adhesives

Hi everyone!
Once a week we are going to try and do a product spotlight for everyone.
Today we are spotlighting Clear Snap's Design Adhesives!
These are so cool to use on cards and scrapbook pages.

I found this video on you tube that shows how to use them and you can see some great ideas. It is such a simple way to use glitter/beads/foil on your pages and this stuff really does stick! Enjoy the video. If you attend one of our day crops or weekend crops you will be able to purchase it. We sell it too.

3 more limited edition cartridges coming!

I have seen these on many sites for approx $25.00 they are cricut solution cartridges.

Cricut Cut Books

This weekend, I have been playing with word books on my design studio.
I found these awesome books on Bug Junkie's blog (see link on right hand side. She also has great videos of how to create the books for yourself.
So I figured let me see if I can do a few . These are the "cut.file" images. I am hoping to actaully cut these two books today so you can see the finish products :) Enjoy!
